Pieter & Teresse tied the knot at the amazing Victorian Manor in Cullinan! Below is a little bit more about this amazing couple and their journey together!
Pieter and Teresse first met in highschool in science class many years ago!
Initially Pieter wanted to ask for Teresse’s hand in marriage in a forest but whilst looking for tree house accommodation, most of Knysna burnt down so he had to rethink! He then booked them into a sea cottage in Boggomsbaai. Tess loves light houses so he arranged with Transnet Port authority to get private access to the Cape St Blaize lighthouse in Mosselbay. When they got there, the security would not let them in because of a “private function”. The more he tried to explain that it was in fact the “private function” happening now, the less he wanted to hear. Finally the lighthouse keeper showed up and let them in. Pieter was so nervous trying to hide the ring in his sleeve because all of this was supposed to be a surprise to Tess. Finally they entered and Pieter made Tess climb to the very top and crawl through the small access hatch to get to the terrace around the light. As she walked around the light, Pieter was on one knee with the ring! This was followed by a surprise dinner set up by their hosts at Sandpiper cottages.
We are currently settling into our new home. We took transfer a day before the wedding! 17 years I have been waiting… Finally the day has come and gone and we could not have asked for a better day and a better team to make our day special. We thank everyone that had a role to play. It made the 17 year wait worth every moment!
I want to thank you guys for allowing me to capture your very special day. We had such a great time creating memories with you guys and I wish you all of God’s blessings for your future together!
