Dewald & Bronwin tied the knot at the magnificent Monte VIsta Weding Venue in Krugersdorp. It was an incredible day celebrated by friends and family!

I asked the couple about their journey together leading up to the big day and Dewald sent me the following. it is such a fantastic journey and message!

I was born in a very small town in Kwa-Zulu Natal called Dundee. At the age of 15 I started working in a restaurant where I met Bronwin’s uncle and aunt whom I became very close friends with as I would look after thier kids while they would enjoy their meal. They approached me and told me that Bronwin and her brother would be relocating from Johannesburg and I must keep a lookout for them as they had no friends in town – The very next day I was to meet my wife – Bronwin. I unmistakably and undeniably fell in-love with her (quite literally at that). I saw her for the very first time after school in the backseat of her mother’s car where I introduced myself. She looked up and replied only with her smile. After our brief introduction, I proceeded to walk home and I looked back to the car at which point I lost my footing and ended up in the gutter ( very smooth). We started talking the next day at school and our journey together began. Bronwin’s family moved back to JHB towards the end of my matric year where I was sure that would be the end – however, I finished school and I moved to JHB with a little more than R1000.00 to my name. I found a job in  Centurion where I walked from Lyttelton to Hennopspark every day to make ends meet but I never gave up, and surely, neither did Bronwin – our love endured. It was after this that I started studying accounting that she helped me pay for in those years and this was how I was able to start supporting us years later to this day- so I truly do owe her everything. She has stood with me in the darkest times and today, she still shines brighter through the eyes of our beautiful son Tyler. I asked Bronwin to marry me in 2017, March. I drove her all the way back to Natal to right in the very spot i literally and figuratively fell for her. Where my single life ended 9 years ago to that date. This is why we got married in March this year – 10 years of love that got wrapped up in the one day we will now and for always remember as – our wedding. I guess all that’s left to say is that we have never been more blessed and I hope the Lord will bless our union for many more years to come.

Back to the wedding day, we started with the lads the morning for their prep. We then spent the rest of the morning with the ladies before leaving for the ceremony. Bronwin rocking the most epic of wedding shoes!

After the ceremony we left for the couple portrait session where we had alot of fun with this spontaneous wedding entourage! We were blessed with the most amazing golden sunset as backdrop for this lovely couple!

Thank you for letting me capture your special day. I want to wish you guys all the best for your journey ahead, may you be blessed every step of the way!
